CHA Winter 2013 - More Pictures...

Can we just say how hard it is to pick and choose photos to post on the blog because we'd really love to show you EVERYTHING.  

The 1st day of CHA is basically sensory overload (think: kid at Christmas!).  Luckily by the 2nd day you know what you want to go back and see and by the 3rd and 4th day you're able to take in all the details.  So...with that being said, wanna see some details???

FarmHouse Paper Company was down in the new kid's section (even though they've been around for a little while).  :) 

 

Just look at their vintage reindeer (we tried to get them to include him with our order) - don't you think he would look perfect in our store?  Not only did Mr. Reindeer look adorable with their Norland line, FarmHouse Paper has great chipboard, embellishments and monthy projects kits, too!

Speaking of chipboard embellishments...don't you love their Country Kitchen chipboard and stickers?  We know we already showed you the pictures below but just look at this darling recipe album!  Besides all the Country Kitchen paper and embellishments, we'll be getting the recipe book kits as well.  (Oh yeah, and the trinket box, too.)  :)

July Calendar is Up!!

You've been asking, so here it is - our July Calendar is up!!  

You'll want to check out our calendar for some pretty special upcoming classes (yep, Karen has designed a new file folder mini album class!) and layout kits and classes by Rachiel too.

If that's not enough - you won't want to miss our crop nights, and---our FREE crop days!!  What a great way to beat the heat here in Chico AND get caught up scrapbooking your special memories!

To avoid any confusion...PSB is still HERE and OPEN for shopping, cropping and creating even though our beautiful sign is currently painted over while our building is spiffy-ed up.  (If you miss our sign - we're right by AAA.)  :)     

What a weekend!

We had a blast here at PSB over the weekend! We celebrated National Scrapbook Day with 3 full days of cropping, talking, laughing and friendship!
Congratulations to Marge, she won the Grand Prize Saturday night, a new Bind-it-all!
Congratulations to our "lucky cropper" Robin, she won a new embellishment organizer, the Grand Prize on Sunday (Robin was also the lucky winner on Friday night).

Par-tay - Scrapbook Style!

Up here in Paradise the fun never ends!  We're cropping for three days...Friday, Saturday and Sunday (a girl can get quite a few layouts completed with that kind of time)!

Here at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique we like to crop in style but we also like to eat in style.  Thanks to Sandie Sage, we ate in style all weekend long - just look at the beautiful table she created.  The food tasted incredible and we felt the "love" in every bite!  Be sure to check out her recipe book entitled "Love on a Plate".

We're back from Sacramento and we have LOTS of new fun ideas to share!
We took lots of classes, met scrapbook designers and saw some fellow Scrapbook Store owners while we were there.  We ran into Donna Jean owner of County Purr Farm Scrapbooking, the store Karen and Deb's Mom scrapbooks at in Carson City, NV.

Are you one of those scrappers who just loves to weed through all of your old supplies?  I do, I find little hidden treasures...you know, like the perfect embellishment I forgot I had.  I also find some things that I just can't (or won't) use anymore.  Do you have any unloved or unwanted scrapbooking supplies?  Wouldn't it be so nice if you could get rid of that old stuff and actually make some money in the process?  Well, Friday and Saturday May 2 &3, PSB will be hosting a Scrapbook YARD SALE! For a mere $7 (only $10 if you sign up for both days), you can rent a table in the store and sell all of your extra scrapbooking stash...€“what a deal!
Call the store to reserve your table and then get in your scrapbook room and purge!  Your old supplies could be someone else's hidden treasure!

Pretty in Pink (and Black)...

Have you had a chance to check out all of the details in Rachiel's pretty pink and black chipboard album?  This is a class you won't want to miss - Rachiel used the versatile new Bella Girl papers by Teresa Collins along with lots of pearls, rhinestones, ribbon, stamping, and flowers for her pretty album class on Saturday, April12.  Seriously, these papers are so versatile that this sweet album could be used for a baby girl, teenage girl or even for your Mom as a fun Mother's Day album!  (Christie was nice enough to send a link of Rachiel's album to Teresa Collins, and Rachiel's album is posted on Teresa's blog - how cool is that?)

More Maya Road Samples...

Seeing all of the new Maya Road product unpacked and stacked on the table reminded me of the wonderful samples we saw at CHA, so I wanted to add a few more pictures from CHA to give you a little inspiration for your own projects.  (Sorry if some of the pictures are a bit blurry - it must have been from the excitement of the moment!)

We loved the way the Maya Road designers layerd their chipboard frames, flowers, swirls, birds, etc. on their boxes, tins and chipboard albums!  And the way they'd dangle charms or mini chipboard shapes from the edge of a tag...and stamp or add pen dots on their letters and frames...or add pearls or rhinestones to swirls, corners of a frame or even chipboard letters...  Hope you enjoy the pictures!!
